So what does it mean to be saved?
God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to the earth to pay the price for our sins. Jesus lived a sinless life. He willingly gave his life to be crucified paying our sin debt for all who will repent and turn to Him for forgiveness. After his death on the cross, Jesus was buried in a tomb and on the third day He arose from the dead. For forty days after He arose Jesus showed Himself alive. Jesus then ascended into heaven and promised that He will return for those who have accepted Him as their Savior. Thus the Bible says:
"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9
"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9
Where Do I Begin?
It's really just as easy as ABC!
A-admit that you are a sinner. For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. Romans 3:23
B-believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who paid the price for your sins. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
C-confess your sins to Jesus asking for His forgiveness. Invite Him to be the Lord of your life. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10
